Microdermabrasion is a popular skin treatment with a simple, straight forward, non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, reduces mild pigment irregularities (hyperpigmentation), stretch marks and age spots.
Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure which gently resurfaces the skin. This exfoliation is performed with medical grade mineral crystals or diamond tip which brushes the skin’s surface creating a gentle vacuum. This action removes dead and damaged cells at the skin’s surface. By eliminating these surface cells, the skin is left soft and supple while forcing the regeneration of new skin cells.

Effectively minimize the appearance of:
• Scars
• Hyperpigmentation
• Fine lines
• un damaged skin
• Blemishes
• Dull and congested skin
• Uneven skin tones and textural damaged skin
• Enlarge ned pores

After treatment, the skin may feel tight. Some individuals may experience light flaking of the skin, therefore, it is important to use a good moisturizer as advised by our skin therapists. Otherwise there are minimal side effects, which is why microdermabrasion is often described as “the lunch hour” procedure. On the other hand, microdermabrasion is not appropriate for people with:
• Severe acne scars
• Advanced aging signs
• Sunburns
• Extensive hyperpigmentation (discoloration of skin)
• Skin disorders
• Sensitive skin

Melasma is a temporary discoloration of skin on the face. It usually appears as brown, tan, or blue-gray patches along the upper cheeks, upper lip, forehead, and chin. The primary factors causing melasma are hormonal changes and external sun exposure Lily Medical Center offers either of the following treatments:

• Intense pulsed light therapy (IPL): Certain light waves are targeted at the pigmented areas of the skin. These light waves remove the pigmented areas through exposure.
• Microdermabrasion: During these treatments, the top layer of skin is gradually stripped away, leaving clean, melasma-free skin in its place.

During this procedure, fine crystals are vacuumed across the skin.
These crystals are abrasive enough to forcibly strip away dead skin cells, thereby lifting away the affected skin. You can usually get about five procedures done, each two to four weeks apart.

• Chemical peel: A chemical peel is a procedure that uses glycolic acid or another similar chemical abrasive to peel the melasma-affected top layer of skin away.

We also offer acne scar treatments:
• Microdermabrasion
• IPL Treatment
• Chemical peel

Acne scars are most common on the face, but can also occur on the neck, chest, back, shoulders, scalp, upper arms and legs. Scars form when the deep layer of skin is damaged and become visible reminders of injury and tissue repair. Acne scars are injury caused by the body’s inflammatory response to sebum, bacteria and dead cells.

THE FORMATION OF ACNE:

The skin is the largest organ of the body which contains several layers: the subcutaneous layer, the dermis and epidermis. The outermost layer of the skin which seals the epidermis is the stratum corneum layer. This layer actively sheds as the skin’s cells naturally divide and multiple at the dermis-epidermis junction. The process of cell division and shedding is what we call skin regeneration. When the skin does not shed properly or if skin cells are being produced at an abnormally quick rate (faster than normal), the end result is often what is known as acne.
Acne forms when sebum and bacteria become trapped in follicles in the skin. The cycle begins when testosterone is converted by the skin which stimulates sebum production in the pores. The oils cause dead cells to stick together while nurturing bacteria. Blemishes appear when these oils prevent the skin from naturally shedding which may be in the form of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples or cysts. Severe cases of acne will often leave indentations or scars on the skin.

Lily Medical Center offers different variety of peeling for the treatment of various skin concerns.
Chemical peels can effectively treat:

• Acne
• Blackheads and Whitheads
• Rosacea
• Scarring

- Bleach chemical peeling.

ANTI AGING FACIAL
An anti-aging facial will have all the steps of a basic facial, but with ingredients that are targeted to aging or "mature" skin, which is usually age 40 and up. But you can have anti-aging facials even when you're in your thirties, because the skin is already showing signs of maturity.

Why Do We Need an Anti-Aging Facial?

As we age, our skin gets thinner and dryer. It loses collagen, which gives it a thick, plump appearance, and elastin, which makes it snap back quickly. The time it takes for healthy young cells to migrate to the topmost layer slowdown, which makes skin duller looking. And our faces are more exposed to the elements, and get lines and creases from all the facial expressions we make.

HYDRATING FACIAL
This treatment focuses on hydrating and replenishing the skin. It includes cleansing, steaming, extractions, facial, décolletage, and scalp massage.
This facial concludes with a skin restoration mask, designed to even and plump skin. Special treatment for the eye and décolleté area.
